With over 30 years experience in the hair and barbering industry, Mary Ann Barrett has built up a flourishing business at The Gentry, before branching off as a session stylist at shows for fashion powerhouses such as Zenga and Paul Smith, and editorial shoots, whilst also assembling a selected list of high profile clients.

Known for precision cutting, modern texture and effortless lived in hair, specialising in curly hair and freehand cutting, Mary regularly collaborates with photographers, creatives and brands to create high-impact looks for campaigns, magazines and runway. Bringing a calm luxury presence on set with a strong eye for detail, shape and movement.

Alongside her passion for art and fashion, Mary has built a reputation for developing the talent in young barbers working under her tutelage, which she sights as the inspiration in keeping a freshness to her work.
